Engineering Technician - Wrexham

Our client is an established high volume commercial Manufacturer who are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanically Biased Engineering Technician.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within the aseptic filling area and will provide engineering support within the Sterile Products Facility grade A, B and C areas working a shift rota basis (2 shift 6 am – 2 pm, 1.30 pm – 9.30 pm Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate in accordance with current engineering procedures and compliance with cGMP and all applicable UK laws
  • Size and component changeovers on washing, filling and sealing machines for vial and ampoule parenteral product production
  • Day to day maintenance on washing, filling and sealing machines for amps and vial parenteral product production in compliance with cGMP
  • Scheduled Preventative Maintenance and reliability on washing, filling and sealing machines for amps and vials for parenteral product
  • Prevent engineering issues by pro-actively managing the lines to maximise line running and reduce line set up and changeover times.
  • Always look to provide ideas and offer suggestions on ways to improve the process, equipment, safety and efficiency of the area.

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Multi-Skilled would be an advantage)
  • The ability to work alone or as part of a team and have excellent fault finding, rectification and communication skills
  • Will require an intimate understanding of pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory expectations
  • Relevant experience of working in Grade A, B and C Pharmaceutical environment is essential.
  • Has practical experience in reliability engineering and various reliability strategies.
  • Someone who will take ownership of the equipment and the areas to keep to the required standards and improve on these and challenge the status quo.
  • Has a Continuous Improvement Mind-set and experience delivering lean/CI principals with demonstrated evidence of results
