Roofing Engineer - Midlands

Our client is an established Facilities Management Company based in the West Midlands who are now looking to recruit an experienced engineer with experience in Roofing alongside other advantageous skills including fabric works and other general maintenance disciplines.

Due to continues growth our client requires a Multi-Skilled Roofer to undergo repairs, maintenance and fault-fixing on a clients sites around the Midlands.

The successful candidate will possess a mixture of the below skills as well as the appropriate certifications

Responsibilities:

• Covering repairs, including pitched roofs, slate roofs, flat roofing, and leadwork.
• Completing repairs, maintenance, roof renewals, and guttering work.
• Provide a high-quality fault fixing and maintenance service at multiple sites.
• Included in their out of hours service.
• Ensuring the safety of our customers at all times.

Other Advantageous Skills:

• Good general abilities in Carpentry/Painting & Decorating including plastering
• Good general abilities in Basic Plumbing and/or Basic Electrics
• Good general abilities in General Building Fabric Maintenance/patch repairs – e.g. doors, woodwork, flooring, glazing, tiling, etc

Candidate Specification:

• You will have a good level of literacy and numeracy
• Highly competent.
• A positive and can-do attitude.
• Good customer service skills.

Essential:

• NVQ level 2-3 in roofing or equivalent.
• UK Driving Licence
• Trade based experience may be considered.
• 2+ yrs experience
• A wide variety of roofing repairs at occupied homes, buildings and empty properties.
